Targeted Education for Unique Needs

Expert Care for Every Learning Profile

At Adaptive Learning Academy (ALA) in Richmond, TX, we recognize that some students require more than just a modified curriculum—they need a specialized environment. Our programs are designed to address the specific neurological, communicative, and academic challenges that neurodiverse learners face, ensuring no child is left behind.

The Bridge Program

A Smooth Transition to Academic Success

The Bridge Program is specifically designed for students transitioning from intensive 1:1 therapy (like ABA) into a group classroom setting. We focus on “bridging” the gap between clinical support and academic independence, teaching students the social and behavioral skills necessary to succeed in a school environment.

Transition School Program

Empowering Independence for Future Milestones

Our Transition Program focuses on life beyond the classroom. For older students, this includes vocational skills, executive functioning coaching, and community-based instruction. We prepare our students for the real world by building the self-advocacy and functional skills they need for a lifetime of independence.

Microschool Program

The Intimacy of Homeschooling with the Structure of a Private Academy

Our Microschool model is the cornerstone of ALA. By limiting our enrollment and maintain small classroom ratios 15 students to two specialized educators, we offer a bespoke educational experience. This allows for hyper-individualized instruction that traditional private or public schools simply cannot provide.

Special Needs Programs

Holistic Support for Complex Learning Profiles

Our general Special Needs Programs cater to students with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and emotional requirements. We offer a safe haven where medical and educational needs are met simultaneously, ensuring every student has the “scaffolding” they need to reach their individual goals.

Autism Support Program

Specialized Education for Students on the Spectrum

We specialize in educating students with Autism by prioritizing sensory regulation and social communication. Our staff is trained in neuro-affirming practices, focusing on the student’s strengths while providing the structural support and predictability they need to reduce anxiety and increase engagement.

Speech Delay Support

Finding Their Voice and Their Pace

We integrate communication goals into the school day, helping non-verbal or speech-delayed students find effective ways to express themselves.

Learning Delay Support

Specialized Education for Students on the Spectrum

We also provide in-house Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) support for any student who needs 1:1 therapy within in the classroom. ABA support enhances peer interactions by teaching social skills such as turn-taking, communication, emotional regulation and cooperative play. By integrating ABA strategies into the classroom, we can create an inclusive environment where all students are supported, understood, and empowered to reach their full potential.
